Hi, I’m Steph
I’ve always lived in / around North Leicestershire I have a very mixed background! and past jobs have included being a student of Equine Studies and doing relevant British Horse Society exams, working as a sheet metal fabricator and forklift driver, being a general farm labourer and tractor driver and now, I’m a yoga instructor, Reiki practitioner and artist. I know… I did say I had a very mixed background!
I’m a feminist who’s struggled with self-confidence, eating disorder, negative body image primarily brought on by trying to cope with living in a society where you’re expected to fit in. I feel that we’re so lucky to be alive at this point in time with so many channels available to us enabling us to express ourselves, but there’s still such a long way to go and many preconceptions to unlearn before society is fully accepting of everyone as they are.
I’m a realist spiritual individual, I’m not religious. I connect spiritually through recognising, acknowledging and dealing with my true emotions and also connecting myself directly to nature which I find to be incredibly healing.
I am on a constant journey of self growth and development and my goal is to become the very best version of myself by exploring as many different aspects of myself as I can to find my true and genuine self, and accepting what my truth is with out judgement. we are all unique beings and that should be celebrated. I chose to include yonis / vulvas in my artwork and jewellery is because they directly relate to individuality and feminism. So many of us are self-conscious about what our bodies look like and it’s a way to bring awareness and acceptance to the fact that every part of us is beautiful no matter what, even those parts of ourselves we feel insecure about and choose to hide or cover up, collectively, I think we need to celebrate and embrace our differences because it’s what makes us wonderfully different.
Another reason I chose yonis is because the shapes are beautiful, each one is unique. I think my artwork and jewellery make beautiful gifts for any woman or feminist (not all feminists are women) and they are a subtle symbol of acceptance and love.
My dream is for my business is to expand globally, to support and promote body positivity and equality, to show everyone that they are beautiful and incredibly powerful.
I’m always happy to hear from you & for anyone to contact me to discuss collaborations including those within the Reiki, yoga and spiritual fields and also with people working to facilitate gender equality and / or positive body image
I’m also very happy to take on commissions and have received excellent feedback from delighted customers to date including,
“It was more beautiful in reality than in the photos. The item arrived as expected and was well-packaged. I have had a lot of interest so would definitely buy again as presents.”
